PayPal launched Mobile Express Checkout

PayPal has decided to make it easier for merchants and customers to purchase and pay using their smartphones. Indeed PayPal has just launched Mobile Express Checkout. This is really a mobile version of the online PayPal Express Checkout service. It is a payment option which allows you to pay in just a click. You no longer have to reenter the shipping address, the billing and payment information, as they can be save d beforehand. In order to process your payment, all you need to do is enter your PayPal account login. Nevertheless, this payment option features strong fraud detection.
Perspective
It has become quite clear that the mobile is the future of e-commerce. According to Juniper Research, mobile payments will reach $200 billion by 2012. We understand better why eBay wants to make PayPal (their most famous online payment system) the leader for mobile payments. Indeed, with the increase of smart phone usage, the mobile transactions using PayPal have increased from $25 million in 2008 to $141 million in 2009. The figure for 2010 should be of $50 million with more than 5 million members regularly using PayPal from their mobile.
