Friendsclear, the French P2P lending service

The French P2P program, Friendsclear.com has been launched. In France, about
2 billions Euros a year are lended between particular. Sometimes, those lending
cause disagreements. In that way, Friendsclear helps anyone who wants to lend
or borrow money to a friend or to a member of its family so that the transaction
appears as clear as possible. The firm is not involved in the transfer of the
money itself but in a financial coaching, it aims to offer tools like debt recognition,
payment calendar or expiry date. For now on, the service costs 9,90€ per registration.

What interesting in Friendsclear.com launching is that this kind of service was considering impossible according to the French legislation and banking regulation. However, this combination of business, non-profit organisations and social justice is being bolstered by a general consumer trend, the waste of confidence on banking institutions. Friendsclear has been rewarded in April 2008 “best Angels 2008” in the category “Best Growth Potential”.
