An innovative Virtual Prepaid Gift Card

Sesamea is the first online prepaid gift card. Its Internet portal offers customers
the possibility to purchase a virtual prepaid gift card that can be used in more
than 200 online partners. All goods can be brought together in a unique shopping
basket in order to make purchase easier. The prepaid gift card is purchased online
and can be offered to a friend, a colleague or a family member. The recipient
will receive a gift card notification by email or text message. Sesamea proposes a variety of thematic gift cards, Sesamea Interiors, Sesamea Fashion,
Sesamea GPS… The sender has to choose an amount (€10 min), add recipient’s name
and email, select a sending type (mail, email or text message) and finally give
personal details.

The new prepaid gift card is concentrating electronic commerce. Moreover, it is virtualising gifts cards and gifts token. Sesamea is not fully effective yet, add-ons will be integrated soon such as mail sending, or the option to send customised message and picture to the recipient. Gift cards are very popular in France, there is a real market place for Sesamea. One of the strengths of this innovation is the unique shopping basket (the outcome of a clever technical Internet application), partners’ prices are as well guaranteed. Sesamea’s collaborator developer Up&Net proposes its technology to the website partners to create their own tailored e-commerce website.
